Fashion Supply Chain

I will be showing some main parts of this project, I will mainly be using Alibaba a global wholesale marketplace where buyers and suppliers connect. There are 3 parts, sourcing for fabrics and trims , finding manufacturers and comparing same products from 2 different brands 1 high class and 1 middle class.

Part 1. Fabric Sourcing

I chose four garments along with their production drawings and sourced fabric suppliers. For each fabric, I compared two suppliers in a chart, evaluating factors like price, shipping time, reviews, and response time to choose the best option. I also made cost sheets to calculate markups.

Part 2: Comparing COS & H&M

For this part, I selected two dresses and two blazers, each from COS and H&M, to compare the quality and price of both brands. The final brand chosen will be used to find a manufacturer for the two garments.

Part 3: Finding Manufacturers

I selected a dress and blazer from COS and sourced fabrics and trims for each garment. Then, I found a manufacturer to produce them using the fabrics I provided. I inquired about CMT (Cut, Make, Trim), lead time, shipping costs, and the required fabric amount for each piece.
